These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all bookings for the guest house "Les 5 Arches" via the internet. They form an integral part of the contract.
Article 1 - Contract and duration of stay : Once the deposit has been received, the confirmation email becomes the contract. The hirer agrees to stay for a fixed period and may not, under any circumstances, claim any right to remain in the property at the end of the stay.
Article 2 - Down payment : A deposit is required to guarantee your booking. The amount depends on the length of your stay (30% of the total). For bookings of one or two nights, the full amount of the stay is required (the deposit will not be cashed before your arrival, unless it has been paid by bank transfer or in the event of cancellation). For bookings made online via our website, the deposit is 30% of the total amount (with a minimum of €155) to be paid via the secure ‘Stripe’ online payment system.
Article 3 - Booking confirmation : The booking cannot be considered confirmed and guaranteed once the deposit has been received.
Article 4 - Payment of the balance : The balance is payable at the end of the stay by cheque, instant bank transfer or cash to the owner. Consumption and additional services not mentioned in this contract must also be paid to the owner at the end of the stay.
Article 5 - Tourist tax : The tourist tax is not included in the room rate. It must be paid on the day of your departure. The owner undertakes to pay it to the public treasury.
Article 6 - Cancellation : All cancellations must be notified to the owner by post or e-mail.
a - If the cancellation is made less than 45 days before the start of the holiday, the deposit will be retained by the owner, who reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the accommodation.
b - If the tenant shows up after 8 p.m. without having given prior notice on the day scheduled for the start of the stay, this contract becomes null and void and the owner may dispose of his guest rooms. The deposit will be retained by the owner, who reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the accommodation.
c - In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation will be retained in full by the owner. Any additional services not used will be reimbursed.
Article 7 - Arrival : The customer must arrive on the specified day at the time indicated on the booking confirmation email. In the event of late or early arrival, the tenant must inform the owner.
Article 8 - Use of the premises : The customer must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their intended purpose. They undertake to return the rooms in good condition. Damage or missing objects resulting from intentional action or obvious negligence on the part of a tenant may be invoiced with detailed supporting documents, without prior notice. For the peace and quiet of our guest house, please note that parties and events are not permitted. The owners decline all responsibility in the event of theft of guests' personal belongings.
Article 9 - Accommodation capacity : The contract is drawn up for a specific capacity, i.e. a maximum of 2 adults per room (concept without children). If the number of holidaymakers exceeds the capacity, the owner will refuse additional guests. The rooms do not allow the addition of baby beds. In this case, any modification or breach of contract will be considered to be at the customer's initiative.
Article 10 - Domestic animals : Pets are not allowed in our house.
